Instant Keys Business Policy Do Not Duplicate - The “do not duplicate” designation is not protected by law. There is no way to identify ownership of these keys. They are an uncontrolled key. The only way to restrict unwanted duplication is to use a controlled or patented keyway. We may ask for identification and record the information when a copy of a “do not duplicate key is requested. However, this is not required and we will duplicate these keys at our discretion. If you wish to control duplication of your building keys please ask us about a patented key such as Primus or Medeco. Openings - We will not open a vehicle, office, or home without an authorized representative present. The person authorizing the opening must present I.D. and sign an authorizing waiver. Payment must be received immediately when the door is unlocked. For emergencies, only cash or credit cars (not given over the phone) are accepted for payment. ReKeying - An authorized representative of the owner must be present when work is performed. We will not open or enter an occupied or furnished residence or business unaccompanied. If you have an unoccupied/unfurnished building you need to have rekeyed ask us about you options. Keys by Code - Automobiles - To make a car key from the code presented by the customer we must also have I.D. and proof of ownership of the car. We do not provide code information, only the cut key. Keys by Code - Other - We do not provide code cut keys without the corresponding lock present. If you cannot bring the lock to us we can send a locksmith to you for a service charge so we can verify ownership and possession of the lock.
